Late last month, Manchester’s Elliot James Reay released his debut EP All This To Say I Love You and last night he brought his 50’s inspired rock’n’roll swoon to a hometown crowd at the city’s iconic Gorilla.

The 23-year-old crooner leans into the UK artist’s affectionate homage to the music of the 1950s and 1960s, seamlessly blending classic rock ‘n’ roll with a touch of cinematic flair and contemporary elements. Radiating a playful yet captivating self-awareness, Reay showcases not just his vocal prowess but also his ability to connect with the rich musical heritage of the past. The sold-out show stands as a testament to his irresistible charm, drawing fans in with every note and lyric, creating an atmosphere that feels both nostalgic and refreshingly modern.

As the evening unfolded, it became clear Elliot is poised to usher in a much-needed revival of the crooner genre in 2025. The excitement surrounding his performance leaves us eagerly anticipating what the future holds, and we can’t wait to hear more from him.

For fans of Roy Orbinson or the OG heartbreaker, Elvis Presley, Elliot James Reay is one you want to jump on now.
