Hailing from the success of their past few years as an upcoming Manchester band, touring with the likes of the legendary Inspiral Carpets and Pete Doherty; headlining iconic venues, such as Gorilla and Academy 3; and having annual slots at major UK festivals – it was only a matter of time before 5-piece Dirty Laces solidified their status with the release of a debut album.

Rife with an abundance of dirty guitar riffs combined harmoniously with lead-singer Charlie Jordan’s talented vocals, Blink For Nothing proves to be an album unlike anything else on the indie-rock scene at the moment – filling the void for all lovers of a modern spin on hard, classic rock.

Including singles such as album-opener Midnight Mile (2022), Seeker (2023) and All I See (2023) – the construction of the album can be sure to successfully appease old and new fans of the band, inevitably improving and perfecting their sound whilst encapsulating the rawness of their style used as a foundation throughout their whole discography.

Speculated by their ever-growing fan base, it can be said that what really sets the band apart from other artists on the scene is their creativity within musicality – listening to Dirty Laces is an experience like no other, constantly reaching new limits when you thought it impossible. Their continuous evolution of sound can be praised heavily, constantly offering new sounds and incorporations of styles to listeners, selling themselves as a band that does it like no other.

Set to headline their biggest ever hometown show next weekend at Canvas 1 in Manchester, fans can finally experience the greatly anticipated live-debuts of their new album’s contributions to their already highly-praised discography. After enjoying many of the band’s live shows over the years, I can personally recommend them to be an event like no other – gripping crowds with their outstanding stage-presence and undoubtedly incredible sound.

Dirty Laces are Charlie Jordan, Thomas Edwards, Luke Dec, Jacob Simpson and Luke O’Reilly. Their debut album Blink For Nothing is out on all major streaming platforms and available to purchase on exclusive 12” vinyl and CD.

Whilst a considerably smaller band, their explosive sound is bound to propel them to inevitable success.

You do not want to sleep on this band.
