Releasing their electrifying new single ‘Son Of A Gun’ earlier this month, Northampton garage-rock duo Fountain have this week unveiled the track’s accelerating accompanying music video.

The second release from their forthcoming EP, Big Bag Of New Nothings, which is set to drop in January 2026 and coming in just under 2 minutes, ‘Son Of A Gun’ showcases a deeper exploration of the band’s punk influences, featuring dynamic spoken-word exchanges between the duo that seamlessly transition into a catchy, melodic chorus.

Comprising Jordan Noon on vocals and guitar, and Ally Wilkinson on drums and backing vocals, Fountain captures the raw intensity of their live shows while delivering a polished and cohesive sound. The gritty production enhances the punchy drums and driving guitar, creating a textured backdrop that propels the song’s relentless energy.

“‘Son Of A Gun’ was written as the score to a film that existed only in Jordan’s mind. It’s a punk-fueled bar-fight of a track, with A-B vocals that mirror the back-and-forth of a brawl. A self-confessed cinephile, Jordan wrote a pulse-racing riff to capture the tension of the scene, and with Ally’s pounding drums behind it, the track hits like a gritty on-screen showdown — all bravado, adrenaline, and raw energy.”

‘Son Of A Gun’ comes ahead of Fountain’s new EP Big Bag Of New Nothings, arriving 13th January 2026.
