After gaining twenty years’ worth of experience in the hairdressing industry, which included owning my own salon, I first discovered a passion for photography a year ago whilst out on a shoot at a gig with a fellow photographer. Despite my success in hairdressing, I’ve always felt a strong desire to explore another creative field and decided to give it a try. Being a frontman/songwriter in my band Sex on TV, I feel has all contributed to me developing a distinct artistic vision that shines through in my photography. Similarly with my music, I work hard to create captivating images that evoke emotions and connect with the viewer on a deeper level. Whether it’s capturing the beauty of nature, a joining of two people at a wedding, a packed out gig, or the intensity of a sporting event, I hope my images have a way of leaving a lasting impression.

I’m Ollie, I’m based in the South West of England! I love travelling and of course taking photos. My favourite band is Enter Shikari (by a landslide)! I mainly focus on rock and metal music, but also have a lot of love for indie too. I’m a team leader at Costa by day, and a massive gig goer at night. I’ve always been told I’ve got a good eye for photography, so wanted to pair my passion for photography and my love for music, it just went hand in hand!

My name is Miles Humphries, I’m a photographer from the West Midlands, based in London at the moment. I’ve been in the concert scene for about a year and have been lucky enough to shoot artists such as, Lana Del Rey, Weezer and Lil Yachty. I’ve been part of Northern Exposure for about 6 months and have been loving it! I’m also a student at London college of fashion, Just finishing my 2nd year, which has given me experience in portrait and press images which I have taken for Seye Adelekan (Gorillaz) and Niko B.

Maggie is a freelance music and events photographer based in London and Shanghai. As a live performance and music photographer, Maggie explores candid photography in various styles. She strives to capture genuine moments through freezing the energy and emotions of diverse performances. Over the past few years, she has worked with numerous theatre productions, live music venues, artists, as well as art festivals such as Pleasance at the Edinburgh Fringe and Sands International Film Festival in St Andrews. Mainly shooting indie and rock concerts when it comes to music, Maggie is more than excited to embark on this journey with NE.

Hey, I’m Charlie, a writer and photographer @ Northern Exposure based between Leicestershire and London. Music has been a monumental part of my life since I was a late teenager, realising it’s one of the only areas of modern life that can connect or unify the world. I’ve been writing reviews and opinion for two years, and recently began exploring photography, after finding myself enjoying taking snaps on my iPhone at gigs, and being intrigued by those people in the pit. In less than 6 months, I’ve been fortunate to shoot the likes of The Magic Gang, Artemas and Swim School. During the day, you’ll find me as a Marketing Lead working with various arts and cultural organisations and by night, it’s all about music.

Hi! I’m Izzy, I’m a 22-year old music and documentary photographer from Hertfordshire, currently based in Edinburgh. I’ve been shooting gigs while studying art at university for 3 years, getting the opportunity to shoot for a wealth of artists and events during my time there. Now a graduate, I can’t wait to get stuck in properly with music photography and the lovely, welcoming team at Northern Exposure. So far, I’m most proud of photographing Nova Twins, Billy Woods, Wasia Project, Billie Marten and exhibiting photography at the Edinburgh College of Art. I’m really looking forward to working with NE and seeing where this year takes me!

Hi! I’m Anya, a photographer for Northern Exposure based in the Nottingham/ Derby area. I have been doing photography since I was the age of 11 when my Grandad gave me one of his old cameras. I found my love for gig photography just after COVID when we were allowed back out and I took some photos Larkins at Rescue Rooms on my phone and found that I was half decent at it! Since then I have had the opportunity to shoot some of my favourite artists such as Alfie Templeman, The Happy Mondays, Andrew Cushin and most recently Afflecks Palace (thanks to NE).
