On Thursday evening, Fatboy Slim (Norman Cook) kicked off his three-night Acid Ballroom residency at the iconic Glasgow Barrowlands, with the kind of high octane energy that has defined his 40-year career. Putting the world-renowned bouncy dance floor to the ultimate test, 1,900 fans created a literal wave of movement as Cook delivered definitive anthems like ‘Praise You‘, ‘Right Here, Right Now‘ and ‘The Rockafeller Skank.

At 62, Norman Cook remains one of the best performers in the industry. Staying true to the “Acid Ballroom” theme, the venue was transformed with vibrant visuals, including his signature smiley face motifs and thematic curated imagery displayed on giant screens. The production was sharp, featuring “battle-like” lasers and smoke that turned the ballroom into a sensory-heavy rave space.

The sold out Glasgow run marks the end of the UK leg of Acid Ballroom, but Fatboy Slim will return to many stages this summer with appearances at the likes of Tramlines, Boardmasters, Creamfields and more.
