SPRINTS, WHITE LIES AND MORE ANNOUNCED FOR SHEFFIELD’S FLOAT ALONG
Float Along have announced their first wave of names for the city centre festival in Sheffield. The independent focussed festival landmarks their half decade tenure with a stacked line-up, spreading across Sidney and Matilda, Corporation and The Octagon.
Confirmed acts include headliners and anthemic indie veterans White Lies, joined by Sprints, Opus Kink and Man/Woman/Chainsaw to name a few. Gritty shoegaze quartet Spanish Horses return to Sheffield after their memorable set at Jarvis Cocker’s curated Friday of Tramlines last year.

Float Along has helped to vehicle huge name such as English Teacher, Shame and The Murder Capital. 2026’s line-up blends reputation and acclamation with discovery and budding talent- because if you know, you know.
City centre festivals such as Float Along don’t just platform emerging artists but sustain and highlight the vitality of independent venues which catalyst vibrancy within our cities. With last year’s closure of The Leadmill rupturing a cultural loss for the steel city, recognising and supporting these independent venues is as crucial as ever.
With early bird tickets sold out, owner Paul Tuffs, recommends buying your tickets early stating it ‘represents exceptional value considering the quality of the line-up’.
Additional names are to be added through the year, but for now, don’t Float Along buying your tickets- this isn’t one to miss!
