GLASGOW’S BIGGEST MULTI VENUE FESTIVAL CONFIRMS FINAL SET TIMES

10 years on from the first ever Tenement Trail, the Glasgow multi-venue music festival is back bigger than ever for 2023 this weekend (7th October).

Taking over some of the city’s legendary East End venues, Tenement Trail will bring over 50 acts across 8 venues in just 10 hours. Bringing the best new and emerging talent from across Scotland and beyond, the festival has infamously hosted some of the biggest acts around. In 2014 a young Sam Fender opened the festivals smallest stage (Flat 0/1) then in 2016 Scotland’s very own Beyonce – Lewis Capaldi – played the little Sauchiehall Street corner bar Variety. 2019 struck a new era for Tenement Trail saw the festival move to it current location in Glasgow’s East End and welcomed the likes of Fatherson, Dream Wife, Kid Kapichi and Sea Girls to their alumni. Despite the detrimental impact the pandemic had on the live music, Tenement Trail made a triumphant come back in 2022 and firmly established themselves as the ‘Music Christmas‘ for new music fans.

2022 was great. We had the likes of Spyres, Dead Pony, Rianne Downey, Uninvited, Vistas and Gallus remind us why Scotland’s new music scene is one of the best out there. 2023 though is proving to be the best yet. Saturday October 7th will see headlining slots across the 8 venues from Rory James, The Big Day, Sister Madds, Silvi, Bemz, Lizzie Reid and Vistas as a last minute replacement for Circa Waves who can no longer play due to illness.

Limited tickets remain ahead of Saturday’s event and priced just over £30, the festival offers insane value for money. 51 acts, 8 venues and over 10 hours of music (that’s the equivalent of 58p per band). The box office (located in BAAD backyard) will be open from 12.30pm for those super keen to get started early ahead of opening act San Jose takes to Van Winkle at 2pm sharp. With plenty of food and drink options across the venues – including a bespoke pop up Tennents Light bar in BAAD backyard – there’s no need to venture far. Charity partner, Tiny Changes – who support young people’s mental health in Scotland – will be spotted throughout the event including at Barrowlands merch stand and festival goers are been encouraged to support them in whatever way they can.
