The Undisputed Champs Of Pop Punk Return To Tour The UK For The First Time In Nearly A Decade

The last time New Found Glory toured the UK was in 2017 when they brought their 20th anniversary tour to our shores, celebrating by playing two of their classic albums in full each night; 2002’s ‘Sticks And Stones’ with either 2000’s ‘New Found Glory’ or 2004’s ‘Catalyst’ – or if you were lucky enough to catch them at London’s Camden Underworld, deep cuts from debut album ‘Nothing Gold Can Stay’ (1999) and the introspective ‘Coming Home’ (2006). Not counting their upcoming sets at this years Slam Dunk Festival, the Florida foursome have only been over once since 2017, also at Slam Dunk in 2019, where they showcased their then-latest release ‘From The Screen To Your Stereo 3’, the third and so far final instalment in their ‘songs from movies’ trilogy.

In the intervening years, they’ve had their ups and downs. Two of their most popular albums have celebrated milestones (‘Sticks And Stones’ and ‘Catalyst’) with huge coast to coast tours of the US in support of them. In 2021, guitarist and founding member Chad Gilbert was diagnosed with cancer but was thankfully given the all clear in 2022.

So it’s great to see the Coral Springs natives – the rest of the band including singer Jordan Pundik, bassist Ian Grushka and drummer Cyrus Bolooki (who often pulls double duty drumming for ska punk band Goldfinger these days) – finally making their triumphant return to the UK after nearly a decade away! As mentioned, they will first appear at Slam Dunk 2025, playing the west main stage and joining many of their contemporaries including Less Than Jake, The Starting Line, Home Grown and The Ataris. But this October will see them playing seven headlining shows across the country. Joining them will be emo pop punks Real Friends on the back of their latest album, last year’s ‘Blue Hour’, and easycore band Koyo, who return following their tour with Four Year Strong earlier this year.

Tour dates;

10th October – O2 Academy, Birmingham

11th October – O2 Victoria Warehouse, Manchester

12th October – O2 City Hall, Newcastle

14th October – O2 Academy, Glasgow

15th October – Rock City, Nottingham

17th October, O2 Academy, Bournemouth

18th October, O2 Academy Brixton, London

No word yet on if New Found Glory will be celebrating the self-titled album in some form for it 25th anniversary but it seems inevitable new music will be announced before long (they’ve been teasing it on social media).
