Last night, American singer-songwriter Conan Gray brought his 2025 pop album Wishbone to a crowd covered in sailor hats at AO Arena in Manchester as he now nears the halfway point of his world tour. Appearing on stage on a pedal bike followed by reaching into a mail box to revel his microphone was the ultimate way to visually display the story and narrative he’s created to support his most recent collection of music.
His career began by posting covers on Youtube from the age of fifteen and by 2020 he was already making indie-pop staples such as “Maniac” and “Heather” which appeared on his debut album “Kid Krow”. A first big break for Gray was supporting the insanely successful pop-rock band Panic! At The Disco on their Pray For The Wicked tour. He has gone on to be associated with the likes of other pop icons such as Olivia Rodrigo and Laufey all of which compliment one another in their sound immensely.
Across the rest of this tour Conan has been sharing the stage with his incredible support act Esha Tewari, an Australian artist who similarly to Gray began her musical journey on social media and is performing songs across her four EPs she has released since 2024. Gray will be continuing this tour as now he’ll bring his theatrical performance across Europe before ending his final shows in six Australian cities.
