Last night, indie artist Searows – otherwise known as Alec Duckart – brought his sophomore album Death In The Business Of Whaling to Manchester Academy 2. The four piece band performed a collection of songs across Searows’ discography including parts of his EPs and debut album that grew insane amounts of attention across social media in 2022.
Duckart throughout his career has worked and performed alongside other well-known and musically adjacent artists such as Leith Ross, Matt Maltese and Ethel Cain. Manchester was his penultimate stop of his EU/UK tour with his final night being at KOKO in London tomorrow on the 10th April before returning to America to begin a second leg of shows.
Supporting the Searows band has been upcoming solo artist Amos Heart, with vocals that took a similarity to Hozier and a reminiscent performance style, he sang a collection of songs including some that are yet to be released on his next hinted album which is due in 2027.
