Ahead of the release of her brand new mixtape Honey, I’m Home on October 8th, Nottingham based LYVIA, made a stunning appearance last night at Manchester’s Academy 3.
Fresh from the Chevron Stage at this years Reading & Leeds Festival, LYVIA captivates with raw, heart-on-sleeve lyricism with a soulful pop, spoken-word edge. Taking inspiration from the likes of Amy Winehouse and Lauryn Hill, she also draws creativity from fellow contemporaries such as Destin Conrad, kwn, Sasha Keable, and Kehlani – to name a few.
With over 370K followers on Instagram and a further 330K on TikTok, LYVIA has become renowned for her street corner performances with her signature cup of tea. LYVIA is all about community, whether within her Nottingham home – where she remains based and very much ingrained in the scene today – or the queer and WLW community. A vocal member of the LGBTQIA+ community, LYVIA writes music “for the girls who like girls n the ones that don’t know it yet”, and as such has real clarity about her purpose as an artist; “I just want to be the person that I needed when I was little.”
Performing at festivals including The Great Escape and Dot To Dot, LYVIA has collaborated and performed with Hybrid Minds, and earlier this year supported the multi-platinum selling Tinashe around the UK and Europe. Finding herself as one of 10 buzzy acts on Ticketmaster’s Breakthrough List for 2025 (alongside the likes of Alessi Rose, Myles Smith and Orla Gartland) LYVIA demands your attention, and last night in Manchester, she held it right.
