LIVE REVIEW | MARTI PERRAMON | THE DEAF INSTITUTE, Manchester | 24th February 2026 by Jenna Laband

Looking for a new artist to add to your playlist of up-and-coming artists? Then look no further than Marti Perramon. As part of his second headline tour across the UK, the Barcelona-born artist took over Manchester’s Deaf Institute for a night of high-energy pop realness.
Recently coming off tour supporting fellow rising artist Ben Ellis across the UK last autumn, and internet sensation Arthur Hill last December, Marti has continued to grow his fanbase and foster a loyal community of supporters. From the moment the fans flooded into the now upgraded Deaf Institute show, it was clear from the outfits and excitement, just the type of night we had in store. From the official Marti Merch to custom t-shirts, this crowd was committed to the vibes, and from the second Marti stepped on stage, it was clear he wouldn’t have it any other way.
Kicking off the sold-out show with the upbeat track “Goodlife”, the whole room lit up from the moment he stepped on stage. His energy and dancing were truly infectious, and it was almost impossible not to join in. Followed by “Daffodil” and “Good Life”, the vibes just kept getting better, with the crowd singing along to every word (even adding in their own fan-made adlibs!).
As the band stepped off stage, the atmosphere shifted to a more intimate acoustic setting. Leaving Marti to introduce one of the most personal songs of the night, the unreleased track “Cant Stop The Bleeding”. What began as a solo performance swiftly became something shared. The crowd all began harmonising together and transforming the room into a chorus of collective emotion. Each voice carried its own story, yet together they created a powerful reminder of the community Marti has cultivated within his music. Visibly moved, Mati thanked the crowd for carrying him through the song, admitting tracks like this aren’t always the easiest to perform.
He then invited his band, alongside support act Tom, to the centre of the adoring crowd to sing an intimate, acoustic version of hit track “Stay The Same”, another moment where the strong community shone during the gig. The room flooded with the harmonies of the band before fans began to join in; it really was an incredible sight to behold.
Before continuing the set, Marti paused to take in the crowd before him, scanning the crowd for any outfits that caught his eye. Whilst doing so, he discussed the importance of self-expression, urging fans to “shine their own light” and “be cheesy”. After much crowd anticipation, he then welcomed a fan sporting a Nyan Cat x Marti Perramon custom tee to the stage to be awarded the “#trimmest” award for best outfit of the night.
An encore then brought us to the end of the night, with Marti and the band taking back to the stage for 2 final songs – the iconic “Peace Sign” and “Sugar (Honey Iced Tea)”. On the stage, Marti brought the energy to these songs, performing choreographed dance breaks and bringing the organised chaos back to the stage for one last time that night. Out in the crowd, the energy was no different. Everyone was on their feet, jumping, dancing and singing along. It was the kind of encore that leaves you with the biggest buzz after the show, making you wish you could relive the night all over again.
