TENEMENT TRAIL 2025: EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE YOU GO!
In just under 2 weeks, music lovers from all over Scotland will converge for Glasgow’s iconic multi-venue festival, Tenement Trail. Whether you’re a festival veteran or a first-timer, this Tenement Trail always promises to be memorable, especially considering past headliners like Lewis Capaldi and Sam Fender graced the stages before hitting the big time. With nearly 60 acts performing across eight stages in just one day, it might feel a bit overwhelming, but don’t worry – we’ve got your ultimate guide to navigate the excitement.

LINE-UP
This year’s Tenement Trail is promising one of its strongest line ups ever. With festival headliners Pale Waves closing Glasgow’s iconic Barrowland Ballroom, they will be joined by Glasgow favourites Dead Pony and Gallus, rising alt-pop star EMMMA and returning Edinburgh band Fright Years, who hit full capacity when they packed out Winged Ox at 2024’s festival.
If that doesn’t get you bubbling over with excitement though, Tenement Trail has another 7 stages offering a diverse and unique line up. Downstairs from the main ballroom, BBC Introducing will again be taking over the Barrowlands 2 stage with the likes of Theo Bleak, Waverley and The Rooks all set to impress.
Just up and across the road at St Lukes is another tempting line-up with The Rants, Etta Marcus, Chloe Slater and more, with Soapbox taking the headlining reign. Meanwhile, next door – for the first time ever – La Sierra Casa are taking over the Winged Ox stage and are arguably hosting some of the hottest acts of the entire line-up. Encouraging gig goers to get down early this year, Vanderlye and GIRLS.SPEAK.FRENCH get the party started early doors from 2.45pm, with Katie Nicol, Stride and Manchester indie risers Arkalya taking the top spot.

Always one of the liveliest places to be at Tenement Trail is BAaD, which will likely be one of the first stops of the day with Alcatraz and Fog Bandits warming up the venue from 2.15pm. With 9 acts lined for BAaD and located just behind the Barrowland Ballroom, the party will run all the way til’ 11pm when post punk band Do Nothing wrap things up.
Across the road, Van Vinkle is your official launch pad for the festival, kicking off the line-up at 2pm. And you will want to be there sharp as an allusive ‘Secret Set’ is being teased, with those early in attendance getting the exclusive reveal. Later on, it’s a mostly Irish take-over with BOLD LOVE, Madra Salach and CroÃthe all expected to impress on the day. Another quick nip across the road to 226 Gallowgate promises even more tough scheduling decisions with Callum Stewart, Cloud Houses and Glass Cheques all expected highlights of the day.

If you weren’t already spoilt for choice though, you can take a short walk back towards the city centre and pop into McChuills, who will be bringing you even more live music for your money from 5pm. Running all the way into the early hours, highlights worth making the move for are Canadian artist Art D’ecco plus local riots Martha May and the Mondays and Crocodile Hunters. As always, McChuills will again deliver the final act of the festival with the iconic ‘Secret Midnight Set’ making a very welcome return. With previous guests including The Big Day, Bottle Rockets and Spyres, we can only speculate what treats are in store this time around.
Set times and stage splits have now been announced, so get planning now!
