LIVE REVIEW | PIERCE THE VEIL w/ Crawlers, Hot Mulligan, Cavetown | CO-OP LIVE, MANCHESTER | 28th September 2025 by Nora Toth

On the 25th of September, American hardcore rockers Pierce The Veil took over the UK’s biggest indoor arena Co-op Live as part of their ‘I CAN’T HEAR YOU‘ World Tour 2025. Hand selecting Crawlers, Hot Mulligan and Cavetown exclusively got the UK leg of the tour, each band brought a unique energy that met the high expectations of their headliner. Here is a little breakdown of all the performances of the night, with pictures!!

Crawlers

I’ve caught Crawlers live a few times before, but this performance was by far their best. The alt/indie band has really stepped up their game, showcasing a newfound confidence as they continue to refine their sound. Many fans will likely recognize them from their popular track ‘Come Over (Again)’ which dropped in 2021 and has gained traction on TikTok multiple times.

The performance in Manchester was fantastic, with the crowd enthusiastically singing along as the band delivered an electrifying set filled with high energy. I really wish it had gone on longer because they were absolutely amazing, and I can’t wait to catch them live again!

Hot Mulligan

I wasn’t sure what to expect from Hot Mulligan, but despite never having seen them live before, I had heard good things about them many times.

The performance was captivating, with fantastic vocals and an energetic stage presence to match. Resonating with the fans in the front row, who enjoyed the most interactions with the band, their catchy music filled the stadium beautifully, culminating in the song ‘BCKYRD’ which I’ve been loving ever since the show.

I would definitely recommend checking their music out and hopefully they’ll be back in the UK soon with a tour!

Cavetown

If you endured lockdown social media then you will no doubt have encountered Cavetown before. Their performance was solid, although I found it to be the least energetic among the supporting acts. Nevertheless, the crowd really connected with the music, singing along to every lyric. The band members also had a strong stage presence, constantly moving around and engaging with fans in the front row.

The setlist was also great, playing some of the biggest songs ‘Home‘, ‘Boys Will Be Bugs‘ and ‘Devil Town‘ to close off the set, while playing a bunch of newer music at the beginning of their set. Mid way through the set, singer Robin Skinner brought out Pierce The Veil’s singer Vic Fuentes to perform ‘a kind thing to do‘ together, a song that they collaborated on and released in 2022.

Pierce The Veil

What a show. I first saw Pierce The Veil at Victoria Warehouse last year and this show has gone way above and beyond all expectations. The venue felt perfect for the band, the floor tickets being completely sold out and almost all the seats gone too, every single person in that crowd wanted to be there and they definitely showed it. The pit had mosh pits non stop, crowd surfers and drinks being thrown as far as physically possible; the vibe was electric. This feeling translated amazingly to the stage, band members Vic Fuentes (singer, guitar), Jaime Preciado (bass), Tony Perry (lead guitar) running around the stage, jumping on and off of stools- placed right at the front of the stage for this reason exactly.

The set-list once again hits the spot, opening with ‘Death of an Executioner‘ and ending with the most iconic Pierce The Veil song- ‘King for a Day‘. Between these songs, the set ranges so much emotionally, from jumping around to songs such as ‘Pass the Nivarna‘ and ‘Hell Above‘ to crying with others to songs such as ‘Emergency Contact‘ and ‘Circles‘ and a cover of ‘Where Is My Mind?‘ by Pixies being thrown in there too.

Pierce The Veil have had multiple songs go ‘TikTok viral’ in the past few years, understanding how much this boosts their popularity each time, they make sure to play these songs at every show. Currently, ‘So Far So Fake‘ is ‘the’ song for TikTok trends and that’s very apparent when it’s played live- everyone recording themselves and their friends and posting it after the show.

All in all, Pierce The Veil put on a fantastic show, the energy is insane throughout and even if you only know a handful of songs, I could not recommend seeing them live more; you will come out loving them even more.
