Mongolian hunnu rock pioneers The Hu brought their Warrior Chant tour to London last Friday with a sell out at O2 Academy Brixton. The quartet was founded a decade ago in 2016 in the Mongolian capital of Ulaanbaatar, and have been steadily gaining in popularity ever since. Their music is often described as “folk-metal” and incorporates traditional Mongolian instrumentation as well as throat singing.

Opening for The Hu were SKÁLD, a French-nordic group who use traditional Norse instruments and draw heavily from Norse mythology and Scandinavian culture.
