On Friday night, A$AP Rocky turned Glasgow’s OVO Hydro into an all-out spectacle, delivering one of the best sets I’ve ever seen. Hitting Scotland as part of his Don’t Be Dumb Tour, the show comes hot off the release of the rapper’s fourth album of the same name.
Skipping an opener entirely, he kicked off the night by diving straight into the standing pit to mosh with stunned fans before literally taking to the skies. Between performing the bulk of his set perched atop a floating helicopter, commanding a stage anchored by a massive tank, and launching blimps across the arena rafters, the sheer scale of the production was jaw-dropping.
The crowd matched that insanity beat for beat, jumping to every track. The peak arrived when Rocky commanded thousands of fans to whip their white T-shirts overhead in unison, spinning so hard it kicked up an actual draft across the entire arena floor. Unrelenting, chaotic, and visually unmatched, this was a legendary, unforgettable stop on a tour that will be talked about for years.
