On Tuesday, Leicesterian band Hard Life brought their latest tour to Glasgow‘s very own SWG3 Galvanisers. Opening their set with our national anthem, Flower of Scotland, the band solidified their adornment for the Scots. They burst onto the stage with immense energy jumping straight into ‘tears’, the first song from onion, their latest album.

They proved their genuine love for Scotland by covering a well renowned Scottish band, but received mixed reactions from the Glaswegian crowd after revealing it was an Edinburgh band’s music they would be recreating. But when the iconic beat of The Proclaimers biggest hit ‘Im Gonna Be(500 miles) rang out, the crowd erupted with energy.

Their set continues with an array of songs, seeming to please the fans, with particular excitement coming when ‘nightmares’ and ‘skeletons’ from the bands first album life’s a beach began to play. When the band leaves the stage at the end of the night, the fans collectively still know that there is one song left to play and the crowd roars for one more song to finalise the night. Answering their request, they return to the stage to play end credits.’ which leaves the fans overjoyed with their night.
