CORIN ENCOURAGES HEALING IN LATEST SINGLE ‘FOUND’
SINGLE REVIEW | CORIN – FOUND by Morgan Hermiston
Scottish singer-songwriter Corin begins a new chapter in her musical journey with the release of latest single, “Found“. Written and performed by Corin herself, she has found an approach that brings out the best in everything she has to offer, carrying this on into her new track. She has worked with James Allen [Jasmine Jet, Ben Lauder], who produced this track, and it’s everything you could possibly want to listen to in the warmer, brighter months.
If there’s anything that Corin has mastered most, it’s her ability to pack so much into a melody that is so methodically and meticulously minimal. This results in a simple but absolutely sublime sense of serenity as her vibrant vocals take you on a temporary, yet joyous journey. The latter half of “Found” sees energy pick up, presenting a crescendo of carefully conceptualised feelings and notions.

Corin’s vocals are instantly recognisable. With such vividness in her voice, you’ll be hooked on every word she sings. “Found” allows her to present vulnerability as a more vibrant alternative. She creates a space to accept a more vulnerable state of mind, rather than making it something to shy away from. Healing is something she ultimately hones in on, and this song itself makes you feel like you’ve healed from something, even if it’s just a crazy start to your day.
It seems pretty easy for song writers and artists to fall into the trap of creating a ballad that we’ve all heard time and time again. However, Corin, along with those who work with her, have found a way of capturing and immortalising such raw revelations in a mesmerising and memorable way.
With so much packed into what initially seems like a simple song, you’ll find it difficult not to return for more. “Found” sets a tone and theme of acceptance and healing, something we need a lot more of in the world, and where better to start? I couldn’t agree more with the self-proclaimed description of “Found” being a “spring anthem“. Get to know Corin if you haven’t heard of her, she’s a tremendous talent already, and she’s only just getting started.
