JESSE MALIN LONDON BENEFIT CONCERT SET FOR SECOND NIGHT SELL OUT

Queens-born singer, songwriter and guitarist Jesse Malin is considered as one of a kind. Known as the frontman of Heart Attack, D Generation and more, Malin also counts working alongside the likes of Bruce Springsteen, Ryan Adams and Billie Joe Armstrong, in his vast discography which spans five incredible decades. Dabbling in anything from glam rock to Americana, Malin is known as a “fearless storyteller”, often tackling evocative issues from social commentary to more introspective and personal challenges.

Suffering a rare spinal stroke in May 2023, Jesse Malin was left paralysed from the waist down, rocking the course of his future in its path. The release of a star-studded tribute album entitled Silver Patron Saints : The Songs Of Jesse Malin in September 2024 coincided with sale of tickets for a special benefit concert in London at Islington Assembly Hall on 1st May. Immediately selling out, an additional date was announced for the following evening at nearby live music haunt, The Garage which again, sold out instantly. Moving back to Islington Assembly Hall, limited tickets have been now been released with the very last tickets available to pick up HERE. Tickets already purchased for The Garage event remain valid for the new date.

In December last year, Malin made a return to the stage at the Beacon Theatre in New York City last December as part of two benefit concerts staged to help pay for his ongoing rehabilitation. Joined by a a host of guests, the shows marked his biggest hometown performance of his career. The same formula is expected to be replicated in London this week where the likes of Billy Bragg and Peter Perrett have already been confirmed to appear with him.

“I have a really special connection to London, as it was the first place that truly embraced me when my debut album came out and it is always very meaningful to play there,” Malin has previously stated. “I am blown away by the response to these shows and am so excited to play them. Thank you once again for all the love and support. You guys are the best.”

Tickets are available for Friday May 2nd at London’s Islington Assembly Hall HERE.
