“THIS ONE IS ABOUT COFFEE” SUPER MARKET RELEASE NEW SINGLE AS THEY SIGN TO HEIST OR HIT LABEL

SINGLE REVIEW | SUPER MARKET – INSTANT COFFEE by Anne Kelly

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Today (12/02/25) ‘business chic’ duo Super Market celebrate signing to Manchester based Heist or Hit by releasing their brand new single Instant Coffee.

“If we didn’t capitalise it would simply be bad business”.

The Manchester pair, Josh Super and Jack Market came together after meeting at a business conference in the North-West, and not ones to miss an business opportunity, Super Market were born. Developing their office-core aesthetic, their top principal was to be noticed and already this eyecatching duo are turning heads across Manchester.

A year after releasing their last single, ‘Fast Fashion’, Super Market return bugger than ever in a bleary ear worming haze of ‘Instant Coffee’. A discordant, ominous synth melody bounces the track along uncomfortably, yet you won’t be able to turn away. It’s infectious warped ambience will be burnt to your mind all day.

A song that literally “is about coffee”, lyrically expresses the delights of an instant coffee. Delivered distinctively nonchalant, with a Gen Z style tinge humour, it’s hard not to warm to this pairs unconventional flare. Taking characteristics of hip hop, indietronica with notes jazz and r’n’b, Super Market’s ‘sound’ is for anybody who wants something to challenge their auditory senses.

Instant Coffee’ by Super Market is out now via Heist or Hit.
